Whidbey Island Bank promotes three Whidbey Island Bank promoted three employees to the rank of vice president. Bob Comley is now vice president and dealer sales and operations manager at the bank. He first joined the dealer banking division, which provides consumer auto loans, in 2000. Comley has 25 years experience in banking, including managing collections and loan departments. A graduate of Big Bend Community College, he has completed numerous banking and finance related courses and won one of the bank’s outstanding sales awards for 2002. Jack Eisses was named vice president. Currently, Eisness is a commercial lending officer in the Burling-ton office. He has 14 years experience in financial services. Eisses graduated from Skagit Valley College and the Northwestern School of Business. Marcy Gregory is now assistant vice president. She is a senior loan officer in the dealer banking division of Whidbey Island Bank. Gregory has 14 years banking experience and has worked in management at automobile and boat dealers. She won an outstanding sales award in 2002. Gregory has an undergraduate degree in business and marketing from Western Washington University.
MacGregor adds Gardener Nancy Gardener is the new accounting manager at MacGregor Publishing. She comes to the company from an Orcas Island medical device manufacturer, where she was controller. Gardener also worked with the Skagit Conservation District. She has a business degree from Central Washington University and is a resident of Bay View.
Meyers lectures on elder law Barry Meyers, an elder law specialist with offices in Skagit County, recently spoke at two Washington State Bar Association seminars in Seattle. In September, Meyers was part of a panel on “Representation of the Client with Diminished Capacity” at the 2003 annual meeting of the state bar association Elder Law section. Topics included how those with diminished capacity can engage with attorneys and the legal system. and how to preserve attorney/client privilege. In October, he presented proposed legislative changes to the state protection of vulnerable adults statute at a one day seminar.
Campbell joins Hexcel board Jeffrey C. Campbell was named to the Hexcel Corporation’s board of directors last month. He is senior vice president finance and chief financial officer for AMR, the parent of American Airlines. Campbell joined AMR in 1990 and held a variety of positions, including treasurer and vice president for Europe. A certified public accountant, Campbell will become a member of the board’s audit and finance committees.
Fallis honored with heritage award Dick Fallis received a heritage award from the board of trustees of the Skagit County Historical Society. He is a researcher and a former news columnist as well as a longtime advocate for historical preservation. Fallis has also written two books, one on Skagit walking tours and one on Sedro-Woolley’s Northern State Hospital. In the award citation, Bud Moore, president of the board, praised Fallis for being a “go-to guy” for local historical questions.
