Linens-n-Things to open store in Bellingham
Linens-n-Things will open a new location in Bellingham’s Meridian Village shopping center later this summer or fall. The store will be moving into the 23,000-square-foot space currently occupied by Rite Aid.

Tenant improvements to the Linens-n-Things site will cost at least $777,500, according to a building permit application filed at the city of Bellingham.
Linens-n-Things, which sells bed, bath and kitchen accessories and appliances, opened a store on Marketplace Drive in Burlington last year. The company added 190 stores between 2000 and 2004, and it plans to add another 180 stores in the next three years.

Redmond brokers serve northern counties
KR Business Brokers of Redmond is now providing business purchase and sale services in Whatcom, Skagit, Snohomish and Island counties. Mark Uptain, licensed agent for the North Counties region, is now actively listing and selling small- and medium-sized business opportunities.
“When it comes to acquisition services, small business owners have historically been underserved.” Uptain said. “Many owners that I’ve spoken with have wanted to sell, but didn’t know anyone that could handle the transaction for them. There are also many people thinking about trying a risky startup, when they should be looking into the purchase of an established, local business. It’s usually a much safer way to go, and for less of a cash outlay.”
KR Business Brokers’ services include free market valuations and highly confidential listing arrangements. Brokerage fees are subject to the successful sale of the business. KR also provides commercial property sales and leasing services.
