Cozy up to employers at Western’s Career Fair

9 Job seekers looking for ways to connect directly with employers are invited to attend Western Washington University’s Winter Career Fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, in the Viking Union Multipurpose Room.
Participating employers include Boeing, Microsoft, Seattle Police, Target, Expedia, Peace Corps, Weyerhaeuser, Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission, the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration’s Northwest Fisheries Science Center, and many more.

9 Growing Your Non-Profit Organization will take place Thursday, Feb. 9, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Skagit Valley College Business Resource Center. Topics will include funding, utilizing volunteers or staff, and how to plan and present your organization. Learn about successful marketing plans and approaches for non-profit organizations. Social enterprise concepts will be introduced and explored, and participants will have an opportunity to hear about some cutting edge approaches to “telling your story.” Cost is $75.
