Business attorney opens Skagit office
Gary Jacobson recently established a Skagit County office in Anacortes, specializing in business relationships and contracts. Jacobson previously was a principal in the Bellevue law firm of Vander Wel, Jacobson and Bishop.
Jacobson, a Seattle native, graduated from the University of Washington Law School in 1970. He is a frequent lecturer and has co-written a series of articles with Larry Morrison.

Owners John and Trish Archibald hope customers will flock to their new store, Johnny Picasso’s, for great coffee and artistic expression in the store’s ceramic lounge.
The Archibald’s will keep the same theme as the previous business at the site, Paint a Piece of Pottery, but an espresso lounge will help people relax and get away from the stresses of everyday life.

Henderson said Litzia was created with the idea of providing people with more value at a reasonable price.
After graduation Henderson worked in IT services at Microsoft and broadened his experience working in IT Services in Bellingham for 10 years. This experience showed Henderson the need for efficient, effective IT services in the Northwest. He said he is committed to providing clarity and to evaluate and implement information technology for individual needs.

Bob Ross, co-founder of Bellingham architecture firm Ross & McClure Architects, recently opened his own private practice, Ross Architecture NW at 1110 Larrabee Ave. in the Fairhaven business district of Bellingham.
Ross is a LEED accredited professional, member of the U.S. Green Building Council and chairs Focus Northwest’s Best Practices Team. Focus Northwest is a non-profit group currently planning to build an “Ideas Home” to demonstrate better building practices in the Lake Whatcom Watershed.

Inspired by a love of food, restaurants and the Northwest, tasteofwhatcom.com owners Ruth and Jack Lauman of Blaine recently merged their Web site expertise to create a resource for food in Whatcom County.
Officially launched in March, tasteofwhatcom.com will eventually have information on every eating establishment in the county, accessible by type of cuisine, location or alphabetically for easy research. Menus, prices, banquet facilities, specials and directions will be available online.

Jessica Libolt recently opened Body Sense Massage in Unique FX Hair Salon & Tanning in Lynden.
Libolt offers a variety of massage services, including Swedish, aromatherapy, deep tissues and pregnancy massages, plus massages to promote healing from injuries.
She had three years of physical therapy experience before becoming a licensed massage practitioner and is also a certified personal trainer with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science. Libolt also operates Body Sense Fitness, which provides personalized in home fitness training for those uncomfortable in a gym setting.

Lester Keel P.E., formed Keel Air Consulting, LLC in Sept. 2004 with the goal of providing regulatory air pollution and dangerous waste consulting services to manufacturing and power generation facilities in Whatcom and Skagit counties.
Keel opened the business after 11 years on the technical staff of the Northwest Air Pollution Authority. He brings extensive experience working with permitting and compliance auditing for a wide range of industries.
